CRC is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to provide counseling, assessments, treatment planning, case coordination, and recovery support to individuals with substance use disorders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in substance abuse, behavioral health, or addictions treatment preferred.
- CADC or other state certification preferred; certification eligibility considered.
- Strong communication, counseling, documentation, and crisis-intervention skills.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing.
- Ability to maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation.
- Must be available to work occasional evenings/weekends as needed.
What You'll Do:
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling.
- Support clients with recovery and relapse prevention.
- Coordinate referrals and community resources.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Participate in clinical staffing and team meetings.
